Mikroe Dot Matrix R Click is based on the Avago (Broadcom Inc) HCMS-3906 four-digit dot matrix display module. The module holds four 5x7 dot matrices. They are closely spaced with bright red pixel elements. Characters are clear as a result, and emit a bright red color. This makes the display readable in any condition. Each display is directly interfaced with a microprocessor, with no need for cumbersome interface components. The serial IC interface allows higher character count information displays with a minimum of data lines.
