The ADE7756 is a transducer interface for remote reading or multiple rate billing energy meters. Besides real power and active energy, the ADE7756 provides waveform samples from either the current or voltage channel. It is a register-based design that allows for bi-directional communication with a microprocessor through a 4-pin serial port with an interrupt. The bi-directional communication allows for system calibration features such as channel-offset correction, phase calibration, and power calibration to reach high levels of accuracy. The ADE7756 is available in 20-lead SSOP package, and it is pin-to-pin compatible with the ADE7753 and ADE7759. NOTE: If your application requires the measurement of rms voltage and current, the ADE7763 is recommended.
