The switch has a robust housing, a redundant power supply and function monitoring with relays. The PROFINET certificate (conformity class B) guarantees easy integration into PROFINET automation systems by means of a device description file (GSD). The device also supports PROFINET Netload Class II. The device supports flexible configuration of multi-port mirroring via the device description file or Web-based management. Using function blocks, the cyclic diagnostics of the PROFINET Switch can be efficiently implemented in the TIA Portal.
