This Power over eSATA to SATA 22-pin cable can be used to connect your 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drive externally to any free Power over (eSATAp) port. This Power over eSATA connector combines eSATA and USB and supplies 12 V of power via the gold-plated sides. This eliminates the need for an additional power supply unit when operating a 2.5" or 3.5" HDD. The cable can also be plugged into a simple 5-V eSATAp port so only the 5-V voltage required for a 2.5" HDD is provided.
