The XT bolt switch contact is simply inserted into the doorframe and fixed. The contact is then triggered on unlocking and locking. You can define actions in the XT2 automation menu, such as arming/disarming the security system, switching the light on/off, switching standby devices on/off and much more. The XT1 can only display the status (completed/not completed).
