Checks banknotes from all angles The Safescan 185-S is currently our most advanced banknote validator. Equipped with the latest technology, this device takes only a fraction of a second to check banknotes for 7 key security features. No matter which way the bill is inserted, the convenient guide strip ensures that USD bills are loaded correctly. The top-of-the-line models among banknote counters The Safescan 185-S uses state-of-the-art counterfeit detection technology to check for seven advanced security features found in today’s currencies: infrared ink, magnetic ink, metal thread, color, size, thickness, and watermarks. This technology is so reliable that it even detects double and half banknotes-and even the “Superdollar," the best-counterfeited banknote of all time. Guaranteed reliability The 185-S undergoes regular rigorous testing by major central banks, using the latest sets of genuine and counterfeit banknotes. The 185-S passes every one of these tests with flying colors, guaranteeing reliable detection of both counterfeit and genuine banknotes. User-friendly and lightning-fast The 185-S features an intuitive control panel and a large, easy-to-read display. Three clearly labeled buttons give you easy access to the 185-S’s functions. The large LCD display shows you all the important information: currency type and denomination, the number of banknotes checked, and the total amount (if you’ve enabled the totaling function). On top of that, it takes less than half a second to verify a banknote: No longer than the blink of a customer’s eye. Compact and elegant We developed the 185-S for use at the point of sale.
