At the beginning, we wondered whether it was possible to develop a shelf-top loudspeaker which offered a voluminous sound without a subwoofer and could reproduce the lowest frequencies.
The PACTO, a shelf-top loudspeaker, was created as a so-called FAST system (full range and subwoofer technology) in an inconspicuous bass reflex enclosure. The W 130 X (2 x 4 ohm) provides an extremely low cutoff frequency of 42 Hz and is supported in the mid/high range by the 8-ohm FR 58. The two drivers are divided at 250 Hz by a simple serial crossover with only three components.
