The DS2114 is designed to terminate cable assemblies and devices that do not require isolation from the SCSI bus. The small package integrates a voltage regulator and nine precisely trimmed 1100Ω resistors that actively terminate nine signal lines in compliance with SCSI-1, -2, and -3 standards. SCSI termination is used wherever data must be transmitted without voltage drops caused by signal reflection at the parallel bus termination point, which is often significant in multidropped systems. All Dallas terminators feature power-down mode with extremely low-quiescent consumption.
