The Firecomms DC to 1 MBd RedLink® transmitter is based on the highly reliable Resonant Cavity Light Emitting Diode (RCLED) technology developed by Firecomms. It is installed in a non-conductive RedLink® plastic connector. The housings are compatible with the Versatile-Link fiber connector and optimized for use with Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) and Plastic Clad Silica (PCS) fibers. The transmitter can be controlled by TTL logic drivers. It operates over the industrial temperature range of --40°C to +85°C and supports many industrial applications that require reliable command and control response in electrically harsh environments.
