Small removable frame for 2.5" hard disks for retrofitting into an external 3.5" bay. The hard disks can be inserted directly into the frame without the need for additional carriers. An intelligent mechanism automatically pushes the hard disks forwards when the removable frame is opened so that they can be easily removed. In order to protect the hard disk contacts from accidental contact with metal, the removable frame is supplied with insulation protection, which can be glued to the hard disk from below using the single-sided adhesive surface. The removable frame or the hard disk it contains can also be secured against unauthorised access by the lockable front.
