The ATMXT2113TD-KD automotive touchscreen controller supports Microchip's patented Knob-on-Display™ (KoD™) technology for display sizes up to 17”. The KoD™ technology allows HMI designers to combine the comfort of physical control knobs with the flexibility of modern multi-touch displays. The KoD™ technology offers the ability to reuse a standard touch sensor pattern to detect the position, direction of rotation and optionally the push function of a capacitive knob. Size, shape and position are configurable using parameters and without the need for any firmware modification. The ATMXT2113TD-KD embeds dedicated drift algorithms at the knob's location, ensuring a reliable and simultaneous operation of finger touch and capacitive knob across a range of environmental conditions. Microchip offers dedicated documentation, development tools and design services to support the development of the capacitive rotary knob as well as the bring-up and tuning at system level.
