The MQ138 sensor has been developed for the detection of various gases, with a focus on air quality monitoring. Its main target gas is formaldehyde (HCHO), but it is also sensitive to a range of other gases, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as toluene, alcohol, acetone and hydrogen, as well as other harmful gases commonly found in the environment. It requires a short warm-up time to function correctly. The breakout board provides both digital and analog output via the easyC system. Sensor values are received via the easyC system.
