A PIN diode and a preamplifier are mounted on a lead frame and the epoxy housing acts as an IR filter. The demodulated output signal can be directly connected to a microprocessor for decoding. The TSOP312... is compatible with all common IR remote control data formats. The TSOP314... is optimised to suppress almost all interference pulses from energy-saving fluorescent lamps, but can also suppress some data signals. This component is not qualified for automotive specifications.
