When bent, the sensor increases its resistance. It can be used to detect hand movements, such as clenching a fist. The sensor is 55 mm long. The 55.37 mm long sensor increases its resistance when bent with metal pads outwards (text to the middle of the arc). The leads have a popular 2.54 mm (0.1") pitch, thanks to which the sensor can be plugged into a breadboard or connected using dupont wires. Sensors of this type are used in interactive gloves used to control robots, e.g. in the Nintendo Power Glove.
