ToF distance sensor module based on VL6180X. It uses FlightSense™ technology, which allows for absolute distance measurement regardless of the color and surface of the detected object. The sensor can measure the distance of objects 50 cm away with a dead zone in the range of 0 to 2 cm and a detection angle of 25°. The module also offers the ability to detect gestures. VL6180 communicates via the I2C interface, and the user has at their disposal a friendly and easy-to-use API (Application Programming Interface) available in C language. It can be used in applications for detecting presence of objects and obstacles in both industrial robots and mobile structures.
