This 3 Port PCI Express FireWire adaptor card from StarTech.com can be installed in a PCI Express slot to add two IEEE1394b (FireWire 800 - 9 pin) ports and one IEEE1394a (FireWire 400 - 6 pin) port, providing broad compatibility with a wide range of FireWire devices (DV camcorders, external hard drives, digital cameras, etc). The 2b, 1a card features a native (single chip) PCI Express chipset - resulting in faster, more reliable and cost effective performance than expansion cards that utilise a "bridge" chip. It is backed by a StarTech.com lifetime warranty and free lifetime technical support. * Bus type: PCI express * Card type: Standard profile (LP bracket included) * Connector type: PCI express x1 male * External ports: FireWire 400 (6 pin, IEEE 1394a) female, FireWire 800 (9 pin, IEEE 1394b) female * Interface: FireWire 800 (1394b) * Internal ports: SP4 (4 pin, small drive power) male * Maximum data transfer rate: 800 Mbps * OS compatibility: Windows® 10, 8/8.1, 7, Vista, XP, 2000, ME, 98SE * Ports: FireWire 400 (6 pin, IEEE 1394a) female, FireWire 800 (9 pin, IEEE 1394b) female, SP4 (4 pin, power) male, 3 * System and cable requirements: PCI express enabled computer with an available PCI express x1 slot or higher * Product dimensions: 120 x 90 x 18mm * Manufacturer's part no.
