24-pin 8K EPROM for IBM, Commodore, etc

This is for one 24-pin 8KiB EPROM (MCM68766), with free programming of a provided image if you desire.

These are desirable chips, because they are pin-compatible (no adapter needed) with the old Mostek MK36000 mask ROMs, and the 2364 type ROMs used in IBM 5150, Commodore 64, VIC-20, 1541, Sinclair ZX80/81. The should also drop in place of a 2332, 2532, 6332 ROM in most cases, including replacing the 4K ROMs or 2K pairs in most PET boards (for replacing single 2K ROMs such as EDIT or CharGen, check out the 27C16 page).

Typical use would be replacing the BIOS chip in an IBM 5150, adding a diagnostic ROM for such machine to your toolkit, or replacing a ROM in a Commodore 64 or PET.

If you are purchasing for a 5150, you should get the third revision BIOS (10/27/82). Unlike the older ones, this supports >544K RAM, and Option ROMs (needed for EGA, VGA, Hard Drives, XT-IDE). The older BIOSes are there for novelty and collection purposes.
