The TB6612 1.2A DC/Stepper Motor Driver Breakout Board is a versatile and compact solution for controlling two DC motors, stepping a bi-polar or uni-polar stepper, or activating two solenoids with a capacity of 1.2A per channel. The board is equipped with dual H-bridges, making it an ideal choice for projects that require motor control without a shield or HAT.The TB6612 is pre-soldered onto a breakout board, complete with a polarity protection FET on the motor voltage input and a pullup on the "standby" enable pin. The breakout chip houses two full H-bridges, allowing you to drive 2-4 solenoids, two DC motors in either direction, or a single stepper motor. However, it's important to ensure that your components are compatible with the 1.2 Amp current limit of this chip. The driver can handle a peak of 3A, but only for a brief period of around 20 milliseconds. The built-in kick-back diodes provide added protection against inductive kick damage to your project or driver.Each H-bridge has two digital inputs, one for each half of the bridge, and a PWM input per driver for speed control. The board operates at 2.7V-5V logic, with a separate motor voltage. It's designed to work with motor voltages ranging from 4.5V to 13.5V, but is not suitable for 3V motors.The product comes as an assembled and tested breakout, along with a small strip of header. Light soldering is required to attach the header to the breakout PCB. Please note that the Arduino, motors, and power supply are not included.Key Features:
