Ultrasound is inaudible to humas, but dogs and cats can hear it very well. In order to deter the animals, our cat & dog repellent emits a signal with a changing frequency between 20-60 kHz. The perpetual changinf of pitch prevents the habituation effect. The device is equipped with a status LED for visual control. The built-in infrared sensor reacts to heat differences and triggers the device when an animal moves within its detection range. With the sensitivity control the size of the protected area can be set. The device is operated with 3 customary AA batteries. This also makes it suitable for use in autumn and winter.
