NXP’s XAUI (10 Gigabit Attachment Unit Interface)-Riser Ethernet network card is designed primarily to test the XAUI interface for the QorIQ® P4080 communication processor using Our P4080 development system (P4080DS). The XAUI Riser card uses Cat6a/Cat7 copper cable as primary interface and has the ability to switch over to fiber optic for higher speeds. NXP’s Software Development Kit (SDK, starting with version 2.1.1) facilitates switching capability between the two modes.
