The RD-K358BMU is a battery management unit (BMU) reference design for rapid prototyping and development of 800 V high-voltage battery management systems (HVBMS). The platform combines the S32K358 microcontroller, FS26 safety system basis chip, MC33665A communication interface and additional power management, networking and system control devices to support advanced battery management applications. Designed for hardware and software development, the RD-K358BMU provides a scalable foundation for evaluating HVBMS architectures, battery control algorithms and functional safety implementations. The RD-K358BMU is part of the RD-HVBMSCT800BUN reference design bundle and uses ETPL communication for battery system connectivity.
