Due to its small dimensions of 43 x 19 x 46 mm, it is particularly suitable for installation in access control systems or test systems, for example. Its Imager HD optics scan all known 1D barcodes as well as 2D batch codes such as QR codes or DataMatrix codes in any orientation. Barcode scanning of smartphone displays is also supported.

The HD optics in the ARTDEV AS-2320 are specially designed for scanning barcodes at close distances, such as in access control systems. Barcodes are scanned from a horizontal angle of 45° and a vertical angle of 28° at a distance of up to 38 cm, depending on the barcode.
