The MCX A18 devices are scalable microcontrollers in the MCX A Series designed for high-performance motor control and connected embedded control. Designed to accelerate development of motor drives and embedded control applications, MCX A18 integrates a 240 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 core, dual FlexPWM modules, embedded OpAmps, up to two 16-bit ADCs and SmartDMA to support responsive real-time control and efficient data handling. With up to 1 MB of Flash, up to 256 kB of RAM and interfaces including I3C, USB, CAN FD, FlexIO and segment LCD support, MCX A18 helps developers combine performance, industrial connectivity and integration in a single MCU platform. The MCUXpresso Developer Experience provides software tools, application examples and expansion resources to support development, including the Expansion Board Hub (EBH) for add-on boards and the Application Code Hub (ACH) for software examples, with evaluation available through the FRDM-MCXA266 development boards to simplify prototyping and feature exploration.
