Description: High-speed SiC transistor drivers require an isolated asymmetric supply of +20/-5 V or +15/-3 V with high isolation voltage and low isolation capacitance. The RxxPxxyyD series has been specifically designed to meet these demanding requirements with 6400 V DC isolation and an isolation capacitance of less than 10 µF. The DC/DC converters can be used with equal power (1 W + 1 W) or equal current (1.6 W + 0.4 W) in driver applications, as the dual outputs provide automatic current sharing. The internal transformer uses a potentiometer core to physically separate the input and output windings - yet the converter still fits into an industry-standard SIP7 enclosure. Input voltage options of 5 V, 12 V, 15 V or 24 V are available, and the RxxP2xxyyD series is safety-certified to the latest UL/IEC 62368 standard.
