The UJA1023 Evaluation Board (UJA1023‑EVB) enables development and validation of remote-controlled LIN input and output nodes for automotive sensor and actuator applications. The board demonstrates how a LIN-controlled responder can manage distributed edge functions without requiring a dedicated microcontroller, allowing system architects to centralize intelligence while maintaining reliable control at the node level. It supports evaluation of cost-optimized architectures that reduce component count and simplify wiring, while still enabling essential sensing and actuation tasks within body electronics and other LIN-based automotive subsystems. This remote-controlled LIN I/O evaluation board can save the MCU in the responder module, but is still capable of performing basic sensor and actuator functions at the edge.
