[elecena] SparkFun Current Sensor Breakout - zmiany ceny

The SparkFun ACS723 Current Sensor Breakout (5A) measures AC and DC current with electrical isolation, offering accurate readings without the voltage drop of shunt-based designs.

The SparkFun ACS723 Current Sensor Breakout (5A) is a compact, high-accuracy solution for measuring low to moderate AC and DC currents, making it suitable for applications such as monitoring motor load or analysing battery performance.
Built around the ACS723 Hall-effect sensor, this breakout can measure currents up to 5A with a base sensitivity of 400mV per amp. It provides a reliable way to monitor current without significantly affecting the circuit being measured.
One of the key advantages of this design is its use of Hall-effect sensing rather than a traditional shunt resistor. This provides electrical isolation between the measured circuit and your microcontroller, helping protect low-voltage systems like Arduino boards even when measuring higher-voltage circuits. It also reduces voltage drop and heat generation, since there’s no resistor placed directly in the current path.
The board is designed to be flexible depending on your application. By default, it operates in a low-noise mode with bandwidth filtered to 20kHz, giving cleaner readings in most use cases. If you need faster response for capturing higher-frequency signals, you can close the JP1 jumper on the back of the board to bypass the filter and enable the full 80kHz bandwidth.
