The EVBMA7318-TPL supports a distributed lithium-ion battery management system (BMS) architecture for automotive and industrial applications. The board integrates a single BMA7318 battery cell controller (BCC) and enables communication with a host controller or PC via transformer physical layer (TPL) or other cell monitoring unit (CMU) boards through TPL with transformer isolation. Each board can measure lithium batteries with 4 to 18 cells and is powered by a 9 volts direct current (VDC) to 90 VDC power source.
