Home Assistant Voice PE - Open Voice Control for the Home Smart Home Control Home Assistant by voice-flexibly, either locally or via the cloud, with high-quality audio processing and a physical microphone switch The Home Assistant Voice Preview Edition, or Voice PE for short, brings Home Assistant’s voice control right into the room. Turn on the lights, control a media device, check the temperature, start a timer, operate a fan, or add something to your shopping list: The compact voice hardware makes Home Assistant Assist accessible without a smartphone or display. An internal dual-microphone array and the separate XMOS audio processor ensure reliable voice capture even in typical home environments. For privacy at the hardware level, a physical switch completely cuts off power to the microphones. Depending on the language, configuration, and computing power of the Home Assistant system, voice processing can be performed locally or offloaded to the Home Assistant Cloud.
