The TEF6686 and TEF6688 are single-chip automotive radio ICs that integrate AM/FM tuner functionality with software-defined radio (SDR) signal processing. Designed for automotive infotainment systems, they combine radio reception, channel filtering, demodulation, stereo decoding, weak-signal processing, noise reduction, and RDS functionality in a compact solution. The devices support digital audio output through I²S and integrated audio DAC interfaces. The TEF6688 also supports HD Radio™ and Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) digital radio standards when used with compatible NXP digital radio coprocessors, including the SAF356X and SAF360X families.
