LilyPad E-Sewing ProtoSnap Kit

The LilyPad E-Sewing ProtoSnap Kit is a great way to incorporate buttons and switches into an e-textile project without requiring any programming. Like other LilyPad ProtoSnap series boards, the individual pieces of the included E-Sewing ProtoSnap are pre-wired --- allowing you to try out the function of the circuit before sewing. We have also included a CR2032 battery, needle set, conductive thread bobbin, and a swatch of white felt. With all these parts combined, along with the featured guide, you can plan and create fantastic projects straight out of the box! Test Before You Sew Wearable electronics are incredibly fun to build, but unsewing a mistake from a delicate piece of fabric can be frustrating. The ProtoSnap series solves this by physically connecting all the individual e-textile components together on a single, pre-wired circuit board. This lets you press the buttons, flip the switches, and see exactly how the LEDs respond right out of the box, so you understand the circuit logic before you ever thread a needle. Snap-Apart E-Textile Prototyping To give you a comprehensive introduction to wearable electronics, this specific ProtoSnap includes a variety of standard LilyPad components arranged into two distinct circuits:

* Slide Switch Circuit: Features a LilyPad Slide Switch pre-wired to control two white LilyPad LEDs simultaneously.

* Button Circuit: Features a momentary LilyPad Button Board pre-wired to trigger a single white LilyPad LED.

* Integrated Power: A central LilyPad Coin Cell Battery Holder powers both circuits and includes the required CR2032 battery.

Once you understand how the buttons and switches behave and you have designed how you want your final garment to look, simply snap the individual boards apart along the perforated edges. You can then use the included conductive thread to sew the individual LEDs, controls, and battery holder directly into your custom clothing project. All you need to do is design how you want your project laid out, then snap everything apart!
