PiXtend is a programmable logic controller (PLC) based on the powerful Raspberry Pi single-board computer. Its wide range of digital and analog inputs and outputs allows for the connection of a wide variety of sensors and actuators from both the industrial and maker sectors. Connections to other devices, controllers, and computer systems are established via standard serial interfaces (RS232, Ethernet, Wi-Fi). All interfaces and I/Os are robustly designed and comply with the PLC standard (IEC 61131-2).

In the new version 2.1-S, the features have been further optimized and innovative capabilities added:
