For the individual backlighting there are 2 different Variants available: single-colour amber and 3-colour switchable green/red/white. With the amber-coloured illumination, 2 separate LED paths are available, which can be connected in parallel or in series for optimum adaptation to the system voltage. This means that all lights can alternatively be operated with 3.3V or a higher voltage! Operation of the backlight requires an external series resistor to limit the current. This is calculated from R=U/I; the values are taken from the tables next to it. For an optimal lifetime we recommend the use of a power source. Depending on the current and temperature, the service life of the amber-coloured lighting is 100,000 hours, that of the white lighting 80,000 hours (each @25°C).

Attention: Never operate the lighting directly at 5V/3.3V; this can lead to the immediate destruction of the LED's! It is essential that you observe a derating at temperatures >25°C.

assembly First the display and the respective lighting fixture are plugged together. Then the entire unit is simply inserted into a circuit board and soldered there. Please note that the 4 pins for the lighting must also be soldered from above.

Attention: There are 1-2 protective films on the display (top and bottom) and one protective film each on the lighting. These must be removed during or after production.
