FLAT patch cable The flat design (4.35 mm height) allows the Cat. 8.1 FLAT patch cables must be laid under laminate, parquet, carpet or behind strips of flooring at any time. This simplifies the installation and routing of the cables even in confined spaces. In addition, the cables are characterized by their mechanical strength and long durability.

Added value of Cat. 8.1 Technology The Cat. 8.1 technology offers a number of improvements over previous copper-based networking solutions. Data rates of up to 10 Gbit/s are no longer sufficient in many cases. Faster fiber solutions are unsuitable for widespread use due to the high costs. Cat. 8.1 patch cords are also suitable for 25 Gbps and 40 Gbps Base-T Ethernet networks, eliminating the need to interconnect multiple 10 Gbps Base-T links to form a single logical link. This means fewer ports and therefore space are needed, both of which are valuable in data centers. The maximum bandwidth has also increased to 2000 MHz / 2 GHz.

High-Quality Cable Construction The conductor of this patch cable is 99.99% oxygen-free copper (OFC). This high-quality cable structure enables optimum signal transmission and higher cable breakage resistance. The RJ45 connectors are shielded and equipped with 50 µ gold-plated copper contacts for perfect signal transmission.

U/FTP shielding The U/FTP shielding (PiMF) of the cable and the shielded RJ45 connectors according to industry standard ensure a consistently high and loss-free signal transmission.

Compatibility The Cat. 8.1 good connections® patch cords are fully backwards compatible with previous versions with RJ45 connectors. This allows you to integrate easily into existing installations.
