620-600-363 Reflex light sensor, 20 mm, PNP, Hell-On

In a retro-reflective sensor, the transmitter and receiver are housed in a single housing, with a focused pulsating light beam being sent through a polarization filter to a distant reflector. The reflected light beam returns to the sensor where it passes a second polarizing filter before reaching the receiver. If an object interrupts the light beam, the sensor registers the reduced light intensity and activates the output.

In the case of the energy-efficient reflex light sensor, the transmitter and receiver are housed in a single housing. The transmitter emits a beam of light onto an object, with the object acting as a reflector and discarding some of the light back to the sensor. The receiver registers this reflected light component, which activates the output of the sensor as soon as a certain threshold value is reached.
