Ethernet surge protection with the ETH-SP-G2 model from Ubiquiti Networks The ETH-SP is a cost-effective solution that protects outdoor Ethernet devices against harmful electrostatic discharge and power surges.

All Ubiquiti airMAX devices already have built-in ESD, so adding the ETH-SP provides an additional layer of protection. The ETH-SP was developed to protect Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices and non-PoE devices with connection speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s. Two passive RJ45 surge protector connectors ensure maximum device compatibility.

Ideal for WISP networks Install two ETH-SPs: one near the end device and the other at the building entrance. Harmful ESD discharges and surges are safely discharged into the ground by the ETH-SP.

Note: In order to maximise protection, we recommend that you install two voltage protection adapters, with the first surge protector within one meter of the data port for the devices to be protected and the second at the entry point of the location where the wired network equipment is located.
