Ultimate performance for new possibilities. Loctite® 243 is used to secure and seal threaded connections that need to be disassembled using standard hand tools.

The product cures when hermetically sealed between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents independent loosening and leaking caused by shock and vibration.

The thixotropic nature of Loctite® 243 reduces the migration of the liquid product after application to the component. Loctite® 243 achieves a robust curing performance.

The product can be used both on active metals (e.g. brass, copper) and on passive materials such as stainless steel and plated surfaces. The product has high temperature resistance and oil resistance. It tolerates minor surface contamination by various oils such as cutting, lubricating, anti-corrosive and protective oils.
