Patch cable Cat. 8, S/FTP, PiMF, halogen-free, 2000MHz, red, 0,5m, Good Connections® The halogen-free Cat. 8.1 patch cable by Good Connections® with a slim latch protection is up to 40 gigabit-enabled and thus suitable for demanding network connections.

Added value of the Cat. 8 technology Other than the copper-based network solutions, the Cat. 8 technology offers a number of improvements. Data rates from up to 10 Gbit/s are no longer sufficient in many cases. Faster glass fiber solutions are not suitable either since they are very cost-intensive for a widespread utilization. Cat. 8 patch cables are also suitable for 25 Gbit/s to 40 Gbit/s Base-Ethernet networks, so that you don’t have to interconnect multiple 10 Gbit/s Base-T-Links to one logical connection. Consequently, less space and ports are being needed, which are both essential in computer centers. In addition to this the maximum bandwidth has increased to 2000 MHz / 2 GHz. High-quality cable structure The shielded conductor consists by 99,99% of oxygen free copper (OFC). This enables an increased signal transmission and a higher breaking strength of the cable. The RJ45 plugs are shielded and equipped with 50µ gold plated copper contacts, to ensure a faultless signal transmission.

S/FTP shielding The S/FTP shielding (PiMF) of the cable and the shielded RJ45 plugs provide for a consistently high and loss-free signal transmission.

LSZH sheath for more safety The low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) cable sheath releases, contrary to PVC cables, only very little toxic fumes and smoke in case of a fire. Because of this, the cable is ideally suited for installation indoors - they are required by law in public areas.

Compatibility The Cat. 8 patch cables by Good Connections® are fully downward compatible to previous versions of RJ45 plugs. They can therefore be easily integrated into already existing installations.
