Note on FAKRA coding FAKRA connectors are standardized coaxial connectors that are used in vehicles for various high-frequency applications such as GPS, radio, mobile radio or camera signals. To prevent mix-ups or incorrect connections, FAKRA plugs and sockets are mechanically and color-coded (coded = protected against mix-ups). This coding consists of a letter (A to Z) and a corresponding housing color that identifies the respective application. This ensures that, for example, a plug for mobile telephony cannot be confused with a radio connection.
