EN-70HD-K-type network isolators interrupt any electrically conductive connection (wires and screen) in accordance with IEC 60601-1 between devices that are connected to each other via copper-conducted Ethernet cables. They prevent equipotential bonding flows and protect users and patients, including against transient surges, which are directly or inductively coupled to the network line due to installation errors, lightning, switching operations, electrostatic discharge etc. The EN-70HD-K also offers particularly effective appliance protection. Voltage spikes on individual signal wires are eliminated thanks to a supplementary TVS diode circuit. They cannot be held back by conventional network isolators.
