DESCRIPTION The TMC249 driver for two-phase stepper motors offers a competitive range of functions, including sensorless mechanical load measurement with 64x microstepping, blocking detection and intelligent current control. Standard SPI ™ + communication via external analogue/digital signals are available. The TMC249 drives 8 external Low-RDS-ON MOSFETs with high efficiency for motor currents up to 7 A and up to 36 V. Integrated protection and diagnostic functions support robust and reliable operation. High integration and small form factor enable miniaturised designs with a small number of external components for cost-effective and competitive solutions.
