This digital sound meter with 4-digit 20 mm LCD multifunction display (58 x 44 mm), bar graph and blue backlight was designed for noise-monitoring projects, quality control, prevention and cure of diseases and all kinds of measurements of environmental noise. It can also be used for noise measurements in factories, schools, offices, road traffic and residential buildings.

The PeakTech 8005 also features a USB interface through which continuous measurements can be made over longer periods. The AC power supply adapter and stand for stable readings provide valuable support for these applications.

The device offers the choice between manual and automatic ranging in 4 ranges from 30 - 130 dB at a resolution of 0.1 dB It can be switched between fast and slow according to the evaluation characteristics. It provides a choice of A or C evaluation.
