The Homematic IP Dimmer socket is part of the Homematic IP Smart Home system and can dim and switch plug-in lights. The dimming actuator is designed as a compact intermediate plug, so that it does not block adjacent sockets after insertion. Since the actuator is a phase section dimmer, the dimmer socket can dim and switch on or off classic incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, dimmable energy saving lamps as well as most dimmable LED lamps. The fully electronic phase section dimmer is especially optimized for energy-saving lamps with a switching capacity between 3 and 80 VA. The modern electronics make operation possible without any noise emission. The light output can be dimmed directly on the device or conveniently in 0.5% steps via radio via a remote control, a wall switch or the free smartphone app.
