Before starting an electrical installation, electricians must ensure that the working environment is free of voltage. A voltage tester is required to test alternating electric fields or to locate suspected sources of error. The non-contact Wiha voltage detector is a first indication as to whether there is no voltage, thanks to the optical signal. After switching on, the permanently lit green LED indicates that it is ready for operation. If a voltage is present, the red LED lights up, which is easy to read even in daylight. Two AAA batteries are required for use, which are included in the scope of delivery. Thanks to its handy size, the voltage tester with clip fits comfortably in any shirt and trouser pocket. Thanks to the internationally adapted test tip, the voltage tester is suitable for all socket variants worldwide. The single-pole voltage tester complies with EN 61010-1 / IEC 61326 and is rated for CAT IV 1,000 VAC.

Application

For detecting and locating live conductors, cable breaks and breaks, blown fuses, defective lights on light chains and single-wire detection.

Note

Before and after each use, the voltage tester must be tested on a known voltage source to ensure proper functioning.
