SE050 Arduino - Pulse/Heartbeat Sensor

The pulse sensor, also called heart rate monitor, can be very useful whether you're designing a workout routine, examining your activity or anxiety conditions, or just wanting your shirt to flash with your heartbeat.

The problem is that the heart rate can be difficult to measure. With this plug-and-play heart rate sensor for Arduino, this is a child's play. It can be used by students, artists, athletes, hobbyists, and game and mobile developers who want to easily incorporate live heart rate data into their projects. It combines a simple optical heart rate monitor with an amplification and noise suppression circuit, which enables reliable pulse measurements to be obtained quickly and easily.

With a current consumption of only 4 mA at 5 V, it is also very energy-saving and is therefore ideal for mobile applications. Simply clip the pulse sensor to your ear lobe or fingertip and connect it to your 5-volt Arduino - and you can measure your heart rate! The 60 cm cable of the pulse sensor is terminated with standard connectors, so no soldering work is required. Of course, Arduino sample code is also available as well as a processing sketch for visualizing heart rate data.
