Arduino Zero - 32-bit performance in Arduino's UNO form factor. The Zero is a simple and powerful 32-bit extension to the UNO platform. The Zero board expands the family with increased performance, enables a variety of device project possibilities, and serves as a great teaching tool for learning how to develop 32-bit applications. Zero applications range from smart IoT devices, wearable technology, high-tech automation to crazy robotics. The board is powered by Atmel's SAMD21 MCU, which has a 32-bit ARM Cortex® M0+ core. One of the key features is Atmel's Embedded Debugger (EDBG), which provides a full debug interface without additional hardware, greatly enhancing the user experience for software debugging. The EDBG also supports a virtual COM port that can be used for device and bootloader programming.

The board includes everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a micro USB cable or power it with an AC/DC adapter or battery to get started. The Zero is compatible with all shields that operate at 3.3V have the pinout for the Arduino Uno.

Note

Unlike most Arduino boards, the Zero runs on 3.3 V. The maximum voltage that the I/O pins can tolerate is also 3.3 V. Applying voltages above 3.3 V to any I/O pin can damage the board!
