The solder fume extractor offered here is used to extract solder fumes at the soldering workstation in order to avoid inhaling the solder fumes that are harmful to health and to filter the solder fumes out of the air. The solder fume extractor works with easily replaceable activated carbon filters.

Soldering work produces soldering fumes which are classified as harmful to health. Since the introduction of lead-free solders with the associated higher soldering temperatures, it is particularly the more aggressive fluxes that cause these harmful and troublesome fumes. Solder vapour extractors are therefore urgently recommended by the employers' liability insurance associations, as well as by the Institute for Occupational Safety of the BfA.
