C06-0801-000 CO2 sensor, 400-10,000 ppm

The commercial carbon dioxide (CO2) sensor CRIR M1 is a single channel, non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor. Inside the CRIR M1 is a measurement chamber with an infrared source at one end and a detector with an optical filter at the other. The source emits radiation at wavelengths that include the absorption band of CO2. The filter blocks wavelengths that are not sensitive to the presence of CO2, increasing selectivity and sensitivity. As light passes through the measurement chamber, some of it is absorbed if CO2 is present. The difference between the light emitted from the source and the light received by the detector can then be converted into a CO2 concentration value. The Automatic Baseline Correction (ABC) function automatically calibrates the sensor's lowest reading to 400 ppm CO2 over a pre-configured interval. This improves long-term stability and can eliminate the need for calibration.
