P 1636 Leakage current clamp, digital, AC, up to 200 A

The PeakTech 1636 is a leakage current clamp for measuring small AC currents, which can be displayed with a resolution of up to 100 µA.

The device measures the current indirectly via the surrounding magnetic field when the clamp jaws enclose the current-carrying conductor (single wire). Since the sum of all incoming and outgoing currents neutralises the magnetic field, the leakage current can be measured by enclosing all the cores of a cable. In everyday use, this measuring device is ideal for determining leakage currents in circuits or switch assemblies, which can occur due to poor insulation or outdated cables. In addition to measuring small currents, the PeakTech 1636 can also measure larger AC currents up to 200 A with a resolution of 0.1 A, making it ideal for use in hobby, craft and industrial applications.
