The hot-melting inner adhesive seals to be watertight when correctly overlapped – the solder ring connects the two conductors during the shrinking and melting process. The advantage of a transparent design is that you can see the object being covered, with the ring colour indicating the application area. Ideal for repairing cables and conductors, service, manufacturing or hobby use. The application is very simple: strip the cable and insert it into the connector on both sides until the stripped cable ends overlap below the solder ring, or twist them together. Heat evenly in the melting temperature range until the solder has melted, ideally with a hot air gun, heat gun or hot air dryer. Cool immediately, check visually, and you're done. The maximum current is limited by the conductor cross-section of the cable used, its conductor material and the quality of the solder joint.
