The RN4678 is a fully certified Bluetooth Dual Mode (BR/EDR/LE) module that allows developers to easily add classic Bluetooth and Bluetooth smart features to their products. The RN4678 provides local connectivity for the Internet of Things (IoT) and connects the product to smart phones and tablets for convenient data transfer, control, and access to cloud applications.

This Bluetooth SIG-certified module offers a complete wireless solution with integrated Bluetooth stack, integrated antenna and worldwide radio certifications in a compact surface mount housing (22 x 12 x 2.4 mm). It supports the GAP, SDP, SPP and GATT profiles. Data transmission via the Bluetooth connection is done by sending/receiving data in transparent UART mode, which facilitates integration with any processor or microcontroller with UART interface. Configuration is simple via ASCII commands via UART.
